Union Flag Mailshot

These last few days has seen my most ambitious mailshot to obtain many of the Wincor-Nixdorf kiosks and offices that I need – around 61 kiosks from 37 offices. The mailing was timed to obtain examples of faststamps from these offices on (or around) the 21^st May – the date of release of the “union” flag issue.

The table below lists the offices targeted (37) and where/when I posted them off from. I intend to monitor the returns as I have noticed some previous items have failed to get through to target offices or have been returned damaged and minus the payment. Also, this will, hopefully, give a moderate snap shot of what is happening throughout the country outside London as this corresponds to around 25% of the Wincor equipped offices. To redress this, I hope to visit a few London offices on the first day (21^st May).

However, the majority of requests for material that I have sent to other offices in the past have been returned quickly and efficiently. My thanks to the management and staff in those post offices for their assistance by filling my request for material.
